 | My name is Christina Anderson. I was born and raised in Harford County, Maryland. I attended Towson University and majored in Physical Education. I am certified to teach physical education and health from grades Pre-K to 12th. Once I graduated from Towson University, I received a job offer from Harford County Public Schools. I have been teaching elementary physical education for Harford County Public Schools for 6 years now. My teaching position is split between two schools. I am at one school two days a week and another school for three days. I teach grades Pre-kindergarten to fifth. I love teaching physical education to students. Health and physical education is such an important topic right now, especially with the childhood obesity epidemic. I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle myself and I want to help kids learn why it is so important to do so. One of my favorite quotes is “If you don’t take care of your body, where will you live?” –Kobi Yamada I chose to pursue my Masters degree in the area of instructional technology for my love of technology and to learn more about how I can incorporate technology into my teaching to help improve my students learning. I try to incorporate as much technology into the gym as I possibly can. I work with everything from heart rate monitors, pedometers, Flip Cameras, ActiVotes and PlayStation 3. |
